தானே புலன்ஐந்துந் தன்வசம் ஆயிடும்

தானே புலன்ஐந்துந் தன்வசம் போயிடும்

தானே புலன்ஐந்துந் தன்னில் மடைமாறும்

தானே தனித்துஎம் பிரான்தனைச் சந்தித்தே. 

பொருள் விளக்கம்

தானே- தாமாகவே, மெய், வாய்,கண், மூக்கு, செவி என்னும் ஐம்புலன்களும் நமக்கு அடங்கும். நம் சொற்படி இயங்கும். இந்த ஐம்புலன்களும், தாம் விரும்பியபடி, நம்மை இயக்கும் தம்மையை இழக்கும்.ஐம்புலன்களும் இதுஅரை அவை விரும்பு வண்ணம் நம்மை ஆட்டுவித்த நிலைமை மாறும். இவை எல்லாம் யாருக்குக் கைகூடும் என்றால், ஐம்புலன் இச்சையில் இருந்து விடுபட்டுத் தனியே சென்று(ஆசாபாசம் அகற்றிப்) பரம்பொருளை அடைந்து அவன் திருவடி பற்றியவர்களுக்கு, இவையெல்லாம் சித்திக்கும். மடைமாறும்-பாதை மாறும். சந்தித்தல்- சரணடைதல்.

tāṉē taṉittuem pirāṉtaṉaic cantittē.

Meaning [Seek His Grace the Senses Get Controlled]

Surely then the senses five under your control come,

Surely then the senses five back to their native homes retreat,

Surely then the senses five change their course,

If alone you seek the sole felicity of our Lord’s perfect Grace.
