ஓமத்துள் அங்கியின் உள்ளுளன் எம்இறை
ஈமத்துள் அங்கி இரதங்கொள் வானுளன்
வேமத்துள் அங்கி விளைவு வினைக்கடல்
கோமத் துளங்கிக் குரைகடல் தானே.
பொழிப்புரை

வேள்வித் தீக்கு உள்ளீடாய் நிற்பவன் எங்கள் சிவபெருமானே; அஃது, அவன் சுடுகாட்டில் தீயில் நின்று ஆடி, சிறந்த உயிரைத் தாங்கி நிற்றலானே அறியப்படும். இவ்வுண்மையை உணராது, உணர்த்துவாரையும் வெகுள்வாரது வெகுளியின்கண் உளதாகின்ற தீயால் விளையும் வினைக்கடல், மந்தரமாகிய பெரிய மத்தால் கலங்கி ஒலித்த கடல் போல்வதாம்.

ōmattuḷ aṅkiyiṉ uḷḷuḷaṉ emiṟai
īmattuḷ aṅki irataṅkoḷ vāṉuḷaṉ
vēmattuḷ aṅki viḷaivu viṉaikkaṭal
kōmat tuḷaṅkik kuraikaṭal tāṉē.
Meaning-[He is the Fire Within All Fires]

Inside the Fire of the Homa is my Lord,
Inside too is He seated in the flame of the funeral pyre;
The Fire of Homa which scorches Karma's surging sea,
The Fire, that the mighty Churner in the sea begot, still abides.
