160: அத்திப் பழமும் அறைக்கீரை நல்வித்தும்
கொத்தி உலைபெய்து கூழட்டு வைத்தனர்
அத்திப் பழத்தை அறைக்கீரை வித்துண்ணக்
கத்தி எடுத்தவர் காடுபுக் காரே.

பொருள் விளக்கம்

அட்டில் தொழில் செய்வார் வறிய குடும்பத் தலைவன் ஒருவனுக்கு அத்திப் பழத்தையும், அறைக் கீரை விதையையுமே திருத்தி உலையில் இட்டு உணவும், கறியுமாக ஆக்கிவைத்தார்கள். அந்த உணவை அக்கறியோடு உண்பதற்கு, வேண்டப்படாத கூரிய கத்தியை எடுத்து அவாவுடன் புகுந்த அத்தலைவன், அதற்குள்ளே சுடுகாட்டை அடைந்தான்.

kotti ulaippeytu kūḻaṭṭu vaittaṉar
attip paḻattai aṟaikkīrai vittuṇṇak
katti eṭuttavar kāṭupuk kārē.

Meaning-[Body is Karmic Fruit ]

Fruit of fig and seeds of green to pieces chopped,
In a pot they placed, mixed and ground to paste;
Seeds of green the fruit of fig consumed,
Loud they wailed, and bore the body in haste.
